Eeveryone must have oncology experience and has an ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) chemo biotherapy card

to be hired (Certification). That will be mandatory in 2015 for New York P**.

Also do BMT and am always looking for apheresis, phophersis and BMT stem cell collection expreience.

Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course

The Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course is a self-paced, online course designed for nurses who are responsible for administering chemotherapy and biotherapy therapies. Nurses enrolling in this course should have a basic understanding of cancer and treatment options in general. This course is not recommended for nurses without any knowledge of cancer.

The course provides a comprehensive overview of chemotherapy and biotherapy agents with specific focus on safe administration. Course activities, including required discussions, reflect specific concepts related to safe administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy and are reflected in the post-course examination.

At the completion of the course, the student will take an examination based on the course content, pass the end-of-course examination (80% score), and complete the course evaluation to earn a CNE certificate and provider card from ONS and the certificate of added qualification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.

This certificate of added qualification indicates that the student possesses knowledge in the subspecialty of chemotherapy and biotherapy in oncology nursing. This should not be misconstrued as professional certification or licensure.
